Free Resources for parents, tutors, teachers and schools

SPELD SA provides free online resources to help with literacy and numeracy teaching and ideas to help those with specific learning difficulties. The resources have been designed to be easy to use and accessible to teachers, parents, teacher aides or anyone who is wanting to help a person with a specific learning difficulty, like dyslexia. Oral Language

  • Let’s Talk Oral Language Cards – cards to encourage oral language development
  • Vocabulary Scope and Sequence Chart – At each year level, there are lists of subject-based words and space for teachers to record the vocabulary they will teach for specific units of inquiry. Thanks to Blaxcell Street Public School for allowing us to publish this chart.

Phonemic Awareness

  • Phonemic Awareness Tasks – tasks designed to help students hear the sounds of English and development letter-sound correlation
