Portal: Teaching a child to read and write

SPELD SA is pleased to offer the community an exciting new support tool for people wanting to teach beginning reading and writing skills.

The course has been written for young children, however, the method can be adapted for people with English as an alternative language and people with learning difficulties.

Our first online training module "teaching a child to read and write" is now available. You will first have to register at the top of the log on page to participate in the course. *Please note, when you register, you need to use a different username than your real name. e.g. Sue Clark could use SueG as her username, not Sue Clark.

This training module could not have been produced without the financial support of the Thyne Reid Foundation and the hard work of SPELD SA staff.

Teaching a child to read and write is also available in a printable version on the SPELD SA website.
