AUSPELD Understanding Learning Difficulties Guide: For Parents

The Understanding Learning Difficulties: A Guide for Parents was written for AUSPELD by the DSF in Western Australia. In 2016 the funding to enable a website to be built specifically for parents became available.

The free to use website contains a wealth of information for families, educators, allied health professionals and others about how best to support students with learning difficulties.

The guide is a must read if you have concerns about your child, after having an assessment for your child, and/or before meeting with your child's teacher, as it can inform your discussion on your child's needs. The information can be accessed easily using the inbuilt text-to-speech function available across all pages of the website.

The strategies and programs recommended are practical and evidence-based. There are great videos across the website (and more will be added over time).

To access the website click the picture below. We hope you find the website useful and informative.

For those who like to have a hard spiral bound colour copy of the manual, it can purchased through our shop for $20
